What is the difference between Reflective fabric and reflective film?
The core difference lies in the substrate. Reflective fabric is made of fabrics such as polyester, TC fabric, nylon, etc. It is soft, breathable, sewable, and washable, mainly used for clothing, shoes, and hats; Reflective film is made of plastic films such as PVC and PET, which are relatively hard and non breathable. It is mainly used for traffic signs and car body stickers. Simply put, what can be sewn is cloth, and what can be pasted is film.

How does Reflective fabric achieve reflection?
Mainly relying on two technologies:
Glass microbead type: The surface is densely covered with high refractive index glass microbeads, allowing light to "return to its original path" with low cost and wide applications (such as workwear and vests).
Microprism type: The surface is a microcrystalline cube corner structure, with a reflective intensity 3-6 times higher than the former, and is commonly used in high-performance protective clothing (such as traffic police uniforms).

Why are some reflective fabrics gray (when not reflective) and some colored?
Gray/silver is the natural color of glass microbeads, with the highest reflective efficiency; Color (fluorescent yellow, red) refers to the addition of fluorescent dyes to the substrate, with the aim of being conspicuous during the day (fluorescent effect) and reflective at night, commonly used in high-risk warning clothing.

Can reflective fabrics be washed? How many times can it be washed?
Regular clothing grade reflective fabric must be washable.
Ordinary workwear grade: It is usually required to withstand more than 25 home washes (40 ℃) without a significant decrease in reflective effect.
High performance level: requires industrial washing (75 ℃) testing, with a lifespan of up to 3-5 years.
