As a supplier of luminous
Tape, we are delighted to share with you our professional and reliable adhesive methods. Ensuring that the tape is strong and durable not only allows your product to achieve optimal results, but also is our common pursuit.
Please follow the following 'three-step method', which is the best practice validated through extensive testing by us:
Step 1: Preparation is key (70% of success depends on this)
◉ Surface cleaning: Use high-purity (75% or more) medical alcohol or oil-free cleaning agents combined with a lint free cloth (such as eyeglass cloth) to thoroughly clean the adhesive surface. Removing oil stains, dust, and moisture is of utmost importance. Wait for the surface to completely dry (about 1-2 minutes).
◉ Tape pretreatment: Operate at room temperature (recommended 18-30 ° C). Cut the tape according to the required length, and it is recommended to let it stand for 1 minute after cutting to stabilize the adhesive layer.
◉ Surface treatment (for special surfaces):
--Rough wall/cement surface: It is recommended to first polish it flat and apply a layer of primer or varnish to form a smooth base.
--Latex paint wall: Ensure that the paint surface is completely dry, sturdy, and free from powdering and peeling.
--Ceramic tiles/metal/glass: Ensure complete dryness after cleaning.
--Plastic (such as PVC, acrylic): Note that some plastics have low surface energy, and if necessary, use fine sandpaper to lightly polish them.
Step 2: Scientific pasting is the core
◉ Pasting technique: Using the method of "pressing while pushing". Peel off the release paper from one end of the tape by about 5-10 centimeters, align it with the position, and then use a scraper (or bank card, finger joint) to evenly apply pressure from the center to both sides, while gradually tearing off the remaining release paper. Avoid tearing off the release paper as a whole before sticking it, to prevent dust or air bubbles from sticking.
◉ Pressure and exhaust: After pasting, immediately use a scraper or roller to press the entire surface of the tape back and forth 2-3 times, especially at the edges, to ensure that the tape is completely sealed to the surface and exhaust the air.
◉ Environmental temperature: The optimal operating temperature is between 20 ° C and 35 ° C. Low temperature can reduce the activity of the backing adhesive, while high temperature may make the adhesive layer too soft.
Step 3: Solidification and stability are guarantees
◉ Initial curing period (most critical): After pasting, try not to pull, bear weight or touch frequently within 24 hours. The complete adhesion of the adhesive layer requires time to develop.
◉ Complete curing: It usually takes 72 hours (3 days) to achieve maximum adhesion. During this period, avoid contact with water, oil, or chemicals.
◉ Long term maintenance: Avoid long-term scratching with sharp objects. When cleaning, gently wipe the surface with a soft cloth dipped in water or mild detergent.
