Is aluminum butyl tape waterproof?
Aluminum Butyl Tape is waterproof. This is a functional tape designed specifically for waterproof sealing.
Waterproof principle and performance

How to apply Aluminum Butyl Tape?
Four steps for the construction of Aluminum Butyl Tape:
• Cleaning: Remove dust, oil, and water from the base surface, and keep it dry and clean (construction at 5-45 ℃).
• Cutting: Cut according to the seam length, leaving a minimum overlap of 2.5 cm at the joint.
• Tear off: Tear off the molded paper, with the aluminum surface facing outward and the adhesive surface sewn together, from one end to the other, to prevent air bubbles.
• Compaction: Use hands or rollers to press and roll vigorously, ensuring full adhesion to the base surface; Do not tear within 24 hours.
Avoid: Wet surfaces, secondary displacement, mixing with silicone/benzene containing materials.
