How to clean the surface of Photoluminescent Tape?
The core principle for cleaning the surface of Photoluminescent Tape is to handle it gently and avoid using strong chemicals that may scratch the surface or damage the light storage layer. Wipe with a damp cloth and avoid strong acid and alkali solvents.
Cleaning method:
• Daily gentle cleaning: For most dust and mild stains, the safest method is to use warm water with a small amount of neutral soap. Dip a soft cloth or sponge in it, gently wipe it, and finally wipe it clean with water and dry it off.
• For oil stains or stubborn stains: If there are oil stains or stubborn stains on the surface, isopropanol (IPA) or diluted alcohol (such as a 50/50 alcohol aqueous solution) can be used for wiping.
• Remove residual glue: You can first heat the residual glue with a hair dryer to soften it and make it easier to scrape off. • Caution when using chemicals: Avoid using cleaning agents containing ammonia, bleach, or strong acids or bases, as they may corrode the surface of the tape or damage its light storage performance.
• Test first: Try the cleaning agent in an inconspicuous small corner to ensure that it will not cause fading or damage to the tape.
• Regular inspection: It is recommended to clean at least once a year and increase the frequency according to the severity of the usage environment. At the same time, check whether the tape is worn or the luminous effect is weakened, and replace it if necessary.
