What is Caulk Tape?
Caulk Tape, also known as Caulk Strip, sealing tape, or kitchen and bathroom waterproof strip, is a pre formed, self-adhesive flexible sealing strip used to fill and seal gaps in tiles, countertops, bathtubs, sinks, and other areas.
The biggest difference between it and traditional liquid caulk/silicone sealant is that it does not require tools, does not require curing time, and can be peeled off and applied immediately. It is a fast and clean DIY sealing solution.

| PVC Caulk Tape |
Flexible and durable, with rich colors and high cost-effectiveness |
| PE Butyl Caulk Tape |
Waterproof, heat-resistant, soft and non hardening, good sealing, and permanently maintaining plasticity |
2. Core Features
(1) Minimalist installation: Clean the surface → Tear off the adhesive protective film → Paste and press along the gap, no need for glue gun, no need for additional tools, no need to wait for curing.
(2) Clean and tidy: Unlike traditional liquid grout, which is easily accessible everywhere, the operation process is clean and tidy.
(3) Waterproof and mildew proof: forms a tight waterproof barrier, effectively preventing moisture from seeping into gaps and inhibiting mold growth.
(4) High temperature and corrosion resistance: High quality PE/PVC material has characteristics such as heat resistance, oil resistance, acid and alkali corrosion resistance.
(5) Flexible and bendable: Most products come with a crease design that can easily bend 90 degrees, perfectly fitting corners such as corners.
(6) Easy to replace: It is not easy to leave adhesive stains when torn off, making it very suitable for renting or temporary repair scenarios.
3. Applicable scenarios
Caulk Strip is widely used for various types of gap sealing in kitchens and bathrooms:
• Bathroom: Seam between bathtub and wall, edge of shower room, around toilet seat
• Kitchen: seam between stove and countertop, edge of sink, junction between cooking table and wall
• Other: tile gaps, mirror and frame edging, skirting, floor edges, cabinet corners, etc
• Pastable surfaces include: tiles, glass, plastic, marble, metal, etc.
4.Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What's the difference between PE butyl Caulk tape and PVC caulk tape?
A: PE butyl tape offers stronger adhesion, wider temperature range (-40°C~120°C vs PVC's ~45°C~110°C), and remains permanently flexible without hardening.
Q: What preparation is needed before application?
A: Surface must be thoroughly cleaned and dried, free of grease, dust and moisture -- otherwise adhesion will be affected.
Q: What surfaces can caulk tape be applied to?
A: Suitable for flat, smooth, dry hard surfaces such as tile, glass, marble, plastic and smooth metal.
Q: How to remove it? Will it damage the surface?
A: Peel off slowly; heating with a hair dryer softens the adhesive. Usually removes cleanly without surface damage.
Q: Can it be used outdoors?
A: Primarily designed for indoor kitchen and bathroom use. Prolonged outdoor exposure to sunlight and extreme weather may affect durability.
